Seatrade Asia Online Maritime Industry News

The shipping world's centre of gravity is moving inexorably eastwards. Asia now accounts for around half of all seaborne cargoes, 45% of the world's fleet and 14 of the Top 20 container ports worldwide, including the six largest. It also dominates sectors such as shipbuilding and shiprepair, and supplies a huge percentage of world seafarers.

But this dramatic shift has not been reflected in maritime publishing. Many traditional titles remain Eurocentric while Asia 's shipping media tend to be centred on their individual countries of origin. For example, there is no longer any dedicated pan-Asian daily news service – a gaping hole in maritime reporting.

Seatrade aims to rectify this by delivering an online news bulletin service covering the shipping industry from Suez to Shanghai . Each day a handful of key stories will be added – in succinct, easy-to-read form – which have been specially selected for their significance by our team of experienced international editors.

With more than 35 years' experience of shipping publishing and of organising maritime events around the world – including China, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, India and Dubai – Seatrade has all the right credentials and contacts to help interpret the dynamic Asia shipping scene for you.

Seatrade Asia online is directed to an audience comprising the leading Asian shipowners, shipmanagers & operators, shipbuilders & repairers.

Combining Seatrade's unique database from the renowned Seatrade magazine and our active involvement in many of Asia's leading maritime events, Seatrade Asia Online provides a medium to connect with the growing number of decision makers in Asia, as well as those from elsewhere that are doing business in Asia on a daily basis.
