About TT Club

TT Club is the international transport and logistics industry’s leading provider of insurance and related risk management services.

Established in 1968, as a mutual association, the Club specialises in the insurance of liabilities and equipment for multi-modal operators. Customers are drawn from a wide range of the worlds shipping lines, port operators, freight forwarders, cargo handling terminals and logistics companies.

Service
As a mutual association, offering liability, property and equipment insurance tailored to port operators’ needs as well as others in the international transport and logistics industry, the TT Club’s priority is the effectiveness of service provision to its customers.

The Club offers a unique “one-stop” insurance cover, designed to meet the needs of each customer. The breadth of TT cover minimises the risk of gaps between different policies and also the requirement to obtain insurance from a number of companies.

TT’s philosophy is to settle claims as quickly as possible. The Club’s network of offices spans all time zones. This means that whenever customers have a claim or need advice, they can access the Club locally. TT Club seeks only the most qualified people to manage its business, recruited from a wide range of professional disciplines. Club customers can draw upon a personnel resource base of thirty-six languages throughout the TT global network.

The Club continues to invest in both people and systems to drive efficiency improvement. TT Club handles some 10,000 claims at any one time and opens over 7,000 claims files annually for an expanding membership base.

As part of its e-business strategy, the Club’s online claims analysis system, ClaimsTrac, allows customers to manage claims information for the benefit of their business.

The main disciplines within TT Club, those of underwriting and claims handling, are supported by a team of risk management specialists, who sustain TT’s service level above that of stand-alone insurance. The risk management team offers a wide range of advice on risk mitigation and control as well as promoting best practice within the transport and logistics industry. A comprehensive range of risk management and loss prevention literature, produced by the Club, is available to TT customers.

As part of an ongoing programme the Club is using an outsourced customer satisfaction survey process to monitor levels of satisfaction with TT products and service. While the results of this are consistently good, we are constantly using what we learn to improve upon service delivery.
