Mr Kenichi Kuroya has been Managing Director of K Line Pte Ltd and Executive Chairman of K Line (S) Pte Ltd since June 2003.
He launched his shipping career in 1961 with Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha (K Line), Japan, after graduating from Kwansei Gakuin University with a Bachelor of Economics degree. Since then, he has been “sailing” with K Line, serving as its main spokesman at various international forums including the Far Eastern Freight Conference, Transpacific Stabilization Agreement and Intra-Asia Discussion Agreement (IADA). He was Chairman of IADA from January 2001 to August 2003.
Mr Kuroya is also a member of SSA Council and serving as chairman of International Committee. He was re-elected to the SSA Council to serve another term from 2007/2009.
He is a member on the advisory panel of Singapore Maritime Foundation (SMF).
