
Drydocks World – the Expansion Continues …
Drydocks World is the ship repair, conversion and new building operation of Dubai World. It is a giant maritime entity that has evolved with the integration of the well-established Dubai Drydocks, Jadaf Dubai, Platinum Yachts FZCO, Platinum Yachts Management and Singapore based Pan United Marine.
Drydocks World Dubai
The facility of Drydocks World Dubai will comprise of three graving docks, two floating docks, a load in/out facility, a 6,000 tonne ship lift with 11 berths, a 3,000 tonne ship lift with 32 berths, a 700 tonne yacht lifter servicing numerous yacht berths, over five kilometers of repair berths and several small slipways.
Drydocks World Singapore
The Singapore yard of Drydocks World is located in Tuas, on the Western part of Singapore. The shipyard is built on an area of approximately 11 hectares which comprises of a sheltered deep-draft waterfront site with approximately 1km of repair berths; three floating docks with lifting capabilities of 4,500 tonnes, 16,000 tonnes and 16,000 tonnes respectively; three new building berths for vessels of up to 20,000 dwt and cranes with capacities ranging from 50 to 250 tonnes.
The Indonesian yard managed by Drydocks World Singapore is of 22-hectares and is located in Tanjung Uncang, on the northwestern coast of Batam, Indonesia.
Sales Offices
A Scandinavian office will market Drydocks World entire portfolio of products and services to customers in Norway, Denmark, Sweden and Finland. A marketing office in Japan is being developed to cover the marketing of Drydocks World in Japan and Korea.
